The countdown to the 6th Annual Best of Maryland Awards is on!
This year we are holding our annual red carpet celebration, the Best of Maryland Awards (BMA’s) in March, as part of our celebration of Best Buddies Month! Be a part of an exciting awards show as we honor outstanding buddy pairs, leaders, and chapters. Wrap up the afternoon with a festive “after party” with deejay, desserts, and raffle prizes.

Things to do before the event
- Nominate Buddy Pairs and/or chapter leaders for an award by February 5.
Submit a Buddy Pair Nomination Nominate you and your buddy or another Buddy Pair to be recognized for their outstanding friendship and commitment to each other.
Submit a Leadership Nomination Nominate a student leader (Chapter President, College Buddy Director, Officer, or Buddy Director) or faculty/staff leader (Special Education Advisor, Faculty Advisor, or Host Site Coordinator) for their outstanding leadership and commitment to the chapter.
All nominees and finalists will be recognized at the BMAs. The winners, who are decided by the BMA Academy, will be called up on stage to accept their award.

- Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win an assortment of fabulous prizes! Tickets are $10 for a pack of 5. Advance purchase your tickets Online.
- Put SomeBUDDY in the Spotlight! Purchase a “spotlight” for $5.00 to recognize a deserving student, teacher, parent, participant, supporter, or volunteer for furthering the Best Buddies mission.
- Reserve space in the program to recognize a chapter or participant. You can reserve personalized advertising space in the back of the program booklet that will be available during the BMA event.
Much like a farewell advertisement in a high school yearbook, this space is an opportunity for you to recognize your local chapter or somebody involved with Best Buddies.
